About AllyJournal

We built the journal we wished existed.

Every trader gets told to journal. Most of us try a spreadsheet, give up after two weeks, and never see the patterns hiding in our own trades. AllyJournal is the friction-free version. Quick to log, beautiful to review, honest in what it shows you.

The story

AllyJournal started as a side project between two traders who journaled in Notion for years. Every Sunday we’d pull stats into a messy spreadsheet, every Monday we’d wish someone had built the thing properly.

So we built it. Same workflow we already used, but baked into a single app: confluence tags, screenshots, session metadata, the dashboards we kept rebuilding by hand, and an import path from Notion so we could migrate our own history without losing anything.

Backtesting is next. A real replay engine using the TradingView charting library, with the same trade-logging flow as the live journal. Tagged with type = backtest so it never pollutes your real stats.

How we build

  • Useful first

Every feature has to answer: would a trader use this on Monday morning? If not, we cut it.

  • Mobile counts

Tradezella and FXReplay don't ship mobile. We do. Log a trade from your phone in 30 seconds.

  • Own your data

CSV export any time. Notion import any time. Your trades belong to you.

  • No bullshit metrics

Real win rate, real R-multiples, real drawdown. No vanity score, no inflated equity curve.

Stop guessing. Start journaling.

Free to use while we’re in beta. Bring your trade history along. Notion import takes about a minute.
